Why FreeTruth Exists
THE GAP WE'RE CLOSING.
For over 400 years, marginalized, specifically, Black communities have created enormous value—shaping culture, driving consumption, building labor markets, everyday spending and sustaining local economies—without consistently seeing that value come back in visible, tangible ways communities recognize or choose.
Too often, decisions are made without real local guidance, and reinvestment is promised without proof. Traditionally, engagement only reaches the most available residents.The result is an ongoing gap between the value communities create and the benefits they experience.

Black farmers once owned 16 million acres. Today it's less than 2 million. Urban displacement continues under the banner of development and revitalization.
